Interested in hearing form anyone else who has traced their line back to
Josiah and Joannah Lambert. My line is through their son Jonathon
(1772-1856)and his wife Margaret McFarlin( 1780-1863). Jonathon's son
Thomas(1798-1872) married Mary Sampson(1798-1870), and his daughter
Elizabeth(1799-1879) married Cornelius Clark(1793-1860). Thomas daughter
Margaret(1822-1871) married Lewis Rose (1819-1894), and granddaughter, Emily
Jane Rose1842-1920), married Elizabeth and Cornelius Clark's son, Levi
(1838-1912).
Levi Clark's son Delbert(1864-1947) was my grandfather.
I have a lot of info on all these families but there are always gaps, and I
like to meet previously unidentified cousins. WE may be able to help each
other.
Do have a copy of the marriage record for Josiah and Joannah.
Have copies of deeds ( from Scioto Co. Recorders office) when Josiah and his
two partners, and all three wives, signed to sell land to Jonathon Lambert,
his brother Richard Lambert, and to William Carpenter, this in 1812. William
Carpenter married Cornelius Clark's sister Hannah in 1814.
