Dear Linda,

Have you come across anything regarding Norman and Wilsina Prose
Campbell. They had their first born son that year. Thank you for any help.

Sincerely,

Denise

I've been going through the Gallipolis Journal for the year 1863, and it
just occurred to me that someone might be interested in some of the
information contained in it that comes from the Ironton Register. For
example:

"Loss of Lawrence County Boys in the Recent Fights.-- By a letter from
Corporal C. M. Golden, of Robinson Battery, to his brother, Thomas M.
Golden, of this place, dated May 4th, we learn the following particulars of
our Lawrence County boys:

C.M. Golden was wounded in the left side, but not dangerously. Lieut. Fred
Dorries was instantly killed. -- Corporal Kaler wounded, and since died.
John Reed badly wounded in the hip. Same Leedy, wounded slightly. Cassius
Edmunds had his leg shot off below the knee. The above are all of our
section. -- Ironton Register."
