I should have said that the Delay family was certainly in Jackson county
prior to 1830, not necessarily YOUR Delay family. But anyone with early 1800
Delay family roots in Jackson county is descended from Rev. Jacob Delay, who
appears in the 1816 Jackson county voter lists as well as the 1820 census in
Milton township
