Subject: [OHJACKSO] Jacob SELL (1820-1912). Also Winfough,Mitchell & Leach surnames

I came across this interesting article a few years back while browsing the
old Jackson newspapers on microfilm in the city library. This one caught my
eye for a particular reason and not because (at least to my knowledge) that
I am descended from Jacob SELL. If you read the article, you'll see that
Jacob's grandfather SELL was a Revolutionary War soldier. Jacob had 6
siblings by his parents, Adam & Catherine WINFOUGH Sell, who came to Jackson
county from Richmondale after the War of 1812.
One of Jacob's brother's appears to have been a William SELL, who settled in
Jackson county and married a Delilah LEACH in Jackson county. They had a
large family as did Jacob & his wife, Jane MITCHELL Sell.
I am 'assuming' that there are many living descendants (probably many
locally) of this family. If you are descended from this Revolutionary War
family, please email me. Here's the article from a 1912 edition of the old
Jackson Standard-Journal and I hope it helps someone doing research on this
old pioneer Jackson county family:
