Thanks everyone for your replies. That helps me to eliminate him from the
3 Moses that I have found. Mine was from Bedford County and I believe he
may be one that I found in KY. As you all know it is hard to trace before
1850 census actually named spouse and children, especially when you get more
than one born in the same time period that yours belonged to.

Family Search shows in the 1880 Census that a Moses Freeman b 1797 in
VA with wife Peach A that he is MULATTO. They are listed in Wilkesville,
Vinton Co, OH
He is 83 years old and a Farmer.

Subject: [OHJACKSO] Freeman Family
Would anyone happen to be researching the Freeman family.
I have just came upon the following information and (1) would like to know
if it is accurate and there was a Moses who died in Vinton County (2) if
correct, more information on this Moses Freeman.
Moses Freeman
Born: Sept. 19, 1795 Bedford County, VA
Died: Dec. 2, 1881 Wilkesville, Vinton County
Age: 86 years 2 months and 21 days
I have a Moses Freeman in my family who was born in this same time period in
Bedford County and nothing more about him. A brother and sister of my Moses
moved to Lawrence County, Ohio from VA so was hoping that this Moses might
prove to be the person I am looking for.
Thanks in advance for any help that anyone can give me on the Moses that
died in 1881.
