Paul--I don't know for sure but you may check into the Vinton Co., OH
rootsweb site for him. I receive that site's queries and seems like
recently the Tolbert name may have come up. I try to delete as many e-mails
as I can that are not related to my lines since I get so many geneal. ones.
Charles Vance, who heads up this site, does the same for the Vinton Co.
site. Just an idea you might check into. Maybe I didn't see the Tolbert
name on that site! I have emptied my delete box so couldn't pull up any
recent deletions, etc.. Within the past week, we have been at the State of
OH Library, the OHS and the KY archives doing genealogy so I have been
looking at a zillion names. But I do remember seeing the name Tolbert and I
am fairly sure it was on one of these rootsweb things and not in those
libraries. I had an OSU prof years ago, Dr. Tolbert, whom I thought of when
I read that name. Good luck and hope you find the correct haystack for your
needle!
