I have finally had the luck of finding my great-grandfather’s family in the
1880 census of Jackson County, Jefferson Township. Enum. Dist 146 Page 17:
Wm. Short – head – 53
Leaner (Leana?) – wife – 52
Remethy (Rementha?) – dau – 19
McClellan – son – 17
Sherman – son – 14
Francis – son – 6
Albert – son – 4
William – neph– 3

Is anyone related of know of affiliation with this family. My line is thru
Francis.. but would love to have someone from the other branches contact me
as well.
