Looking for parents of Thornton D. PETTY who married Eleanor D. HARRIS. He
also had a brother, Rev. Ludwell PETTY who was a well-known Methodist
Episcopal minister. They resided in or around Beaver Twp., Noble County,
OH.

Their parents came from Jefferson County, (W)VA and settled in Noble County
around 1821.

They may be brothers to Presley PETTY born 1792 around Harpers Ferry,
Jefferson County, (W)VA. Presley settled in Washington County, Ohio around
1812 and enlisted in the War of 1812 from there.
