PERRISING & WILLIAM MINNING were in Ross Co.Ohio as late as 1923------I have no other info about them except in Thomas Shafer's probate.

Are there any Pa. Dutch out there that can connect to my David Schafer?

This is the information I have on the Shaffers of my family.

David Schafer (wife Unk) from York Co., Pa.-Brn ? Died ? (Three Sons I know of-had to be more)
Sons-1 Abraham, two children-names unknown
2 Thomas Schafer- brn ?---Died June 14, 1923--Muscatine, Ia.
Thomas' Probate listed the following

3. Isaac Shaffer (my Gfather) brn apl. 11,1850--Died July 6, 1932.
Ma--Sarah Jane Hurley--July 22,1877.
Children 1.Jennie--?

3.Mattie, unmarried- died at 16

5 Henry Isaac Shaffer (my Father)
Ma.-- Mary Elisabeth Collins
1. Glen Shaffer-- no children
2. Earl Shaffer brn 1920 died-- Battle of the Bulge--1944
3. Orvil Edward Shaffer brn 10/6/1922--
Ma-- Shirley Jean Behrends--April 26,
1945 in Corpus Christi, Texas

Children
1 Sharol (Shaffer) Murphy brn 1947
2. Karen Rae (Shaffer) Rice brn 1958

On Isaacs death certificate it said that he came to Ill. from Pa. My father always said that they originated from Penn. (York Co ?).

I hope that this will trigger a responce with someone. I need all the info
that any one can send me.
