The other day there was this person emailed the list threating to hack the
computers if Ohio Lands did not take them off of their computer list. I
immediately contacted the Administrator of this site. As of now she has NOT
responded to my email. I subscribe to the Digest version of the list. This
should of been caught, and the person removed from the list. Then, last
night, a person send through the list an attachment, which by the way is NOT
allowed in any of Rootsweb's mailing lists. The attachment with the word
NABSTER was part of the file. Then this same person, wrote back saying that
EVERYONE on the list was exposed to a virus.
The next thing I know there were people emailing the list demanding to be
taken off of it, and some emailed some nasty emails. This sight has an
Administrator who should be scanning each email that goes through the list,
and it MUST pertain to the OHIO-LANDS. At least that is part of ROOTSWEB'S
policy.
I FINALLY emailed the MAIN person heading Rootsweb, since the Administrator
of this site has not stopped this. As of right now, I think I am the only
person who has ACTED in what as been going on. A few people has REACTED,
and I recommend that each and every person, who has been getting these
emails for them to also ACT as I have done. I know that this kind of
Internet behavior will not be tolerated by Rootsweb.
