Listed in the Ashtabula Genealogical Society query section is a query
about Adelbert Claudius Phillips being the illegitimate child of Ester
Woodworth and Mr. frances Emery Phillips adopting the child after their
marriage by a Martha Conklin. Ms. conklin has not been forth coming
with any proof to her allegations, after repeated request for proof.
There is a marriage record, death certificate, census records, and
family bible in my possession. Death and marriage records are also at
the Ashtabula Genealogical Society. Be sure to check sources if what
you find is on the internet clarification of documentation is essential
for genealogy.
