Well, I certainly created even MORE of a mystery... sorry to those of you
scrambling to find
my error in your records. Correction below regarding William O'Neal.


Will of RALPH BEATY

Dated 07 Nov 1846; Probated 07 Jan 1847

... to Ralph Steeves, son of John Steeves, my nephew
... to my nephew James O'Neal..
... to my nephew John O'Neal...
... to William O'Neal my nephew
... to my nephew Ralph MacFarland


*my note:
Ralph Steeves son of John Steeves and Jane Beatty
William O'Neal married Catherine Steeves daughter of Esther Beatty and
William B. Steeves
William's name also recorded as O'Neill.
Ralph MacFarland son of Robert MacFarlane and Margaret Beatty

There is a Mary O'Neal, Widow, age 78, living in the household of Moses
Delesdernier on the 1851
and Census - who is unknown.

In trying to find the Mother of James and John O'Neal [recorded on 1851
Dorchester Census],
it could be that she was a Beatty but I have no proof and no name.

Perhaps, also, William O'Neal [O'Neill] was also a sibling to James and John
O'Neal?
