Hi, I'm reasearching Charles Sack born in Hesse-Darmstadt, Germany about 1813. He is 47 in the Baltimore Ward 14, Baltimore, Maryland Census record of 1860. Listed with him are his wife Margaret born 1809, Children Louisa abt. 1840, Adolph Born Abt. 1841 and died between 1900 and 1910, and Christenia abt. 1845. All show born in Hesse-Darmstadt.
Adolph Sack son of Charles Sack married Emma Dannenfelser whom died in Chatham, Savannah, GA. (03/24/1926). Not sure if Emma was born in Germany or not, Census records indicate Georgia and another census indicates Germany. Census records however does indicate her parents born in Germany.
In the New York Petitions for Naturalization List there are 3 Charles Sack's. The first Charles Sack has Naturalization dated 1 oct 1868, King of Barvaria, The second one has Charles Sack's Naturalization dated 23 Aug 1875, Emperor of Germany. The Third Charles Sack has a birthdate of 1880. So I know the third one is not him since he is born about 1813. Could one of these Charles Sack's be Charles Sack born 1813? How can you tell which Naturalization record might be him? I believe they came over on a ship called Roland. Could you please or someone tell me what to do from this point? I would also love to exchange my information and chat with another Sack or Dannenfelser. My email address is or
