I accessed Barbara's old email address on the page, and sent her family the
following message, at that email address. Hopefully her family is
monitoring her email account, and the message doesn't bounce.


Hello,

I'm a subscriber to the genealogy mail lists that Barbara had participated
heavily in. I'm so sorry to hear about her passing.

I wanted you, her family to know how much talk there has been this week on
the NY Albany and NY Rensselaer mail lists, regarding Barbara's death and
all of the work that she did over the years that helped other genealogists.
Barbara will be missed by all, and I know your hearts would be warmed to
know of all the kind things that have been said about her.

Many have related stories about how her research got them past a family
history "brick wall" as we call them, and gave them what they needed to go
back generations more in their research.

When you are ready, you may want to view some of these kind words by looking
