Caleb came to Worcester, Otsego Co. NY with this father Caleb Boynton & mother Sarah Flagg in the early 1700's. Old Caleb and his wife are listed as members of the lst Presbyterian Church of Worcester.
Young Caleb met Asenath Hill Garfield (widow of Thomas Garfield) at the Presbyterian church and were married, probably in 1804. I find 2 records of this church. The first shows old Caleb and wife as new members in 1798. The next record tells of the hand of fellowship being withdrawn from Old Caleb because of a drinking problem in 1806-07. If our ancestors didn't do some outrages things, we'd never find them.

It would seem young Caleb and Asenath would have married in church, but have not been able to find any marriage records.

Young Caleb and Asenath had nine children: Amos born 1805 Otsego Co. NY
Nathan born May 9, 1809. I'm trying to locate a birth record for Nathan

The family moved to St Lawrence Co in 1810. Does anyone know of a book written about the poineers who went from Otsege Co to St Lawrence? I heard about this book in Cooperstown, but unforunately didn't get the title and author.

Any help in locating the marriage record or birth of Nathan or about the book would be greatly appreciated.
