Yeah - the "wouldn't it be nice" is a great place to go sometimes - just "because".

And - about your wheelchair or whatever? Unfortunately - it points out the all too common thing that you are your own best "advocate" to keep things moving. Else, all too often - they "don't" move!

I had disability income coming at one point that "stopped". Turned out when I called them that they agreed that I had a disability - that wasn't the problem. What was it then? It was that one of the doctors didn't want to turn over my medical records (they get updates regularly to see how you're progressing, etc) - unless and until - he got the amount of MONEY he wanted for them. The insurance folks told me it was "too high" and more than they regularly pay.

So - I had to be my own advocate - or I'd still be sitting here wondering why the checks stopped! Had to literally DICKER with both the dr's office and the insurance - to arrange the PRICE - so that records would flow - and I would be "ok" again - and getting some little income! Mamma mia. Yet, everyone agreed it had nothing to do with how I was doing physically.

So yes, "the system" can get in the way - even of what you and your doctor plan out.

But you caught this one - so that's a good thing. Now - up and to the right on that one! :)
