I'm new to this particular list and am in hopes someone may be able to assist
me in my MCCARTHY quest.

So far all we know is that Charles MCCARTHY was born Abt. May 1857 in Ireland
and his wife, Elizabeth, was born Abt. April 1855 in Ireland.

According to the June 08, 1900 census Charles, Elizabeth, daughter Margaret,
sons David and Charles were living at Manhattan Borough NY NY 328 E. 33rd
Street. Charles immigrated in 1875 and naturalized in 1880.

Son, David Francis (a North Bergen Police Officer) was born February 25, 1885
NYC and married Emma KOEPPER September 15, 1914 in North Bergen, Hudson Co.,
NJ. These are my grandparents. David is listed as living with his sister,
Margaret and brother-in-law, John DALY in 1910 census, North Bergen, Hudson Co.,
NJ.

Daughter, Margaret, marries John DALY and lives in North Bergen, Hudson Co.,
NJ according to the 1920 and 1930 censuses. In 1920, mother Elizabeth is
living with Margaret but she is not living with her daughter in 1930. We can only
presume, Elizabeth died between 1920 and 1930.

Since Charles E. was living in 1900 and his wife is living with their
daughter in 1920, we can only presume Charles E. died in between.
