Hello,

My GG Grandfather worked for the glove company as a "tanner" for approx 3 years from 1859 to 1862. I have two questions.
Within two years of leaving this job he died in his early thirties. The Tanners used a lot of toxic chemicals such as lead. Was there a high mortality rate in that job?
While in Kingsboro my GG Grandparents had three children born.
The family was Roman Catholic. I know in the area today there is two parishes, however I am having trouble getting info from them and the Diocese about where I can get baptismal info for that period. Can anyone help steer me in the right direction?

Regards,
Richard Orr
