Hi,

I know for a fact that Frederick Jacobs, a retired merchant of 76 years of
age, died in Brooklyn (Kings County), of TB, on July 30, 1902. I have even
seen his detailed Obituary in the Brooklyn Eagle (Aug 1st 1902).

But when I try to get his Death Cert record from the various online NYC
Death Indexes, nothing for him comes up at all.

Did they sometimes 'miss' people?
