Hi,
Just a reminder about Heritage Hunters/genealogy upcoming activities.
**The tv series "Who Do You Think You Are" continues on Friday evenings
at 8 pm on NBC.

**Joan Dunseath is waiting for your submissions for the *2011 Surname
Index*. Please send her the Saratoga County area surnames that you are
researching, preferably in alphabetical order, along with your contact
information [name, address, phone &/or email] *by March 1*. Reach Joan
at

**Bill Carr recently purchased*Family Tree Maker 2011* and have it
loaded on my laptop. He plans to be at this *Saturday's meeting by 12:30
*and will make it available to anyone who wants to test drive it. Bill
personally is still using FTM 2006 which was the last version with the
old look and feel and report structure, although there some advantages
to the later versions (managing source citations is one of them).

**Also, Bill Carr, HH travel chair, notes that "last Saturday's trip to
the New York State Library seemed to be a success. We had six people go
and were there from opening (9:30) until a little after three when we
had to leave because of some individuals' other commitments. A big
advantage of a group like that is that you don't have to pack up all
your stuff and take it with you when you move around the facility or go
to lunch since you've got others there to keep an eye on it."
Bill would like to try again next month, *12 March 2011, for another HH
visit to the NYSL*. If interested, you can email Bill and leave him your
phone number or leave your name at the sign in table at Saturday's
meeting. You can reach Bill at or 899-6421.

** *HH will meet this Saturday, February 19, at 1:00 pm *at the Town of
Saratoga Town Hall at the corner of Spring and Broad Streets,
Schuylerville. Parking and entrance are behind the building. HH
Treasurer, Al Clarke, will present "Doc Lincoln's Story - A
Serendipitous Adventure in Genealogy." For more info read the program
description in the last HH newsletter or visit www.doclincoln.com .

**Sean Kelleher, Town of Saratoga historian, will *NOT* be at the Town
hall to scan photos this Saturday, but he will be available from 10:30 -
12:30 preceding our March 19 HH meeting. If you have pix from the
Schuylerville, Town of Saratoga area, that you would like scanned,
please plan to come early on March 19. You will receive the scans on a
CD, along with your photos immediately returned.

**If you haven't renewed your membership for 2011, please do so soon so
you will receive the next newsletter!
