There is a Green Street that was very much a part of old Albany (now pretty
much taken up by housing projects, etc.). There is currently a Grooms Road
in Saratoga County, just north of Albany. That part of Saratoga County was
part of Albany at one time. There were Grooms families in this part of the
area in the late 1700s and early 1800s. There is even a Grooms Cemetery in
Clifton Park, just north of Albany. Good luck, Pat
