You may find all kinds of wonderful info in the city directories for
Albany..

here is an example of what I found in the 1932 directory:

Stott, Agnes, wid of Phillip K. who died Feb 11, 1931

1920 directory

Fred D. B. Stott died June 12, 1920


So you see? there can be all kinds of amazing info in the city directories
