Hello,
I'm a bit confused about the mention of a Dennis Nolan. Did I miss a
thread? I am searching for a death date on a Julia Nolan. I did print out
a number of pages on Nolans while at the Albany library. I started in 1889
and went through 1896. I did more on another trip, and have 1910 through
1935, plus 1939. There are no Franks at all listed in the Albany city
directories between 1889 and 1894. The first one is in 1895, Frank P,
bartender 177 S. Pearl, rooms 58 Division. Same job location and rooming
address in 1896. My copies start up again in 1910. The copy is off center,
but I can see a Frank Nolan, metermaker, bds 76 Catherine. Also a Frank J.
Nolan, vice-pres. and sec. Beverwyck Brewing Co, also vice pres. and sec.
Quinn and Nolan Ale Brewing Co-24 to 34 N Ferry, h(house) at Saratoga
Springs. Same info for these 2 men in 1911, 12, 13. In 1914 one Frank
changes his job description. The entry reads Frank Nolan, poolroom, 277 S
Pearl, bds 76 Catharine. Info on the other man remains the same. In 1915
there are 3 Frank Nolans.
Frank A, saloon 46 Morton av., bds 76 Catharine
Frank J, bookkeeper, h 198 Second av. (this is a new one)
Frank J, VP and sec of the 2 previously mentioned breweries.
