Greetings,
I am just joining you. I have a challenge in that I have very
little to go on but am hoping someone can perhaps direct me or help me with
information:

Daniel Russell had a father who was a shoe manufacturer in NY
somewhere. Some family say they had a farm in the Albany area. The father
wanted Daniel to take over the business but instead he struck out on his
own and traveled through several states. I do not have the father's name
but am hopeful that perhaps there were advertisments for Russell shoe
manufacturer or some such thing, in the Albany area. The time period would
be approximately 1860's or 70's I would guess.
Any help appreciated.
