Dear Albany listees:

Do you possibly know these (possibly Irish) recruits who enlisted in
Albany, NY between 1850-1852? If you recognize them, please write me
back. All these recruits served in Company E of the U.S. Third Infantry.
The recruiting officers were likely officers of the 2nd Infantry. These
men sometimes went directly to their assignment in New Mexico but in
other cases they would go somewhere else first before reporting to New
Mexico. All these men helped to build the first forts out in New Mexico.

Thanks!
