Hi,

West Troy was across the Huson river from Troy in Albany County.
You can contact the city of Watervliet for information.

Just yesterday, I spoke to the person there who handles vital
statistics.
They have records there for the town of Watervliet before it became the
town Colonie also.
She said I would have to pay $11 for a search even if they didn't find
the record.

I'm not sure West Troy was exactly where Watervliet is now. I think it
did encompass what is now the village of Menands.

I'm not sure when they stated recording births. It was either in 1870 or
1880.
