Hi Mick,

I'm sending this to the list also,,,maybe someone will recognize these folks.

I have a great-great-grandfather Patrick Nugent, born @1833, Ireland and his
wife, Margaret [last name unknown], born @1835, Scotland.

They arrived in Newfoundland by 1863 when our great-grandmother Ellen-B. was
born.

They had one daughter, Anne/Amelia, born @1862 in Scotland, when they arrived
in Newfoundland. The remaining children were born in the State of Maine - -
Mary-Jane 1865, Patrick 1867, Henry 1868. The family eventually settled in
Fall River, Massachusetts.

I had joined the Newfoundland List and received many helpful replies,
although I was unable to find the birth of Ellen B. There are many "Richard Nugents"
that were mentioned. Perhaps you could join that list and ask about your
Nugents.

I know that at that time in history, Newfoundland was not a part of Canada,
but, you never know,,,someone may be able to help you.
