My Mother born in San Diego in 1896 was issued a Delayed Certificate of
Birth by
The Sate of CA in 1956 not by San Diego Co as I expected. Many Delayed
Birth Certificates were filed between 1941 and 1975 I'm told. People
needed them for Military service, work, or to be eligible for Social
Security etc.. If you cant find the
Birth listed in a Co record you might check the State . It will be
listed during the time frame when they needed the certificate. Beverlee
