Dear D.R.T.
THAT was a LONG time ago..........but there is a possibility that a
library........or genealogy society......or Historical Society.....may have a
copy of a newspaper that old. The National Archive's have Union Lists of
Newspapers.....but you're going to have to do some real digging to find one
this old. I know that in WA State.....the State Archives will send Union
Lists of Newspapers to anyone wanting them.....for the State of WA.
Does anyone here know is the CA State Archives will do the same?
I've been very successful in finding old newspaper articles for my own family
in WA State.
How wonderful you have that letter.
Let us know if you have any success..........
