Hello to you both,
I certainly cant thank you enough for the info about the "Indians of Calif"
roll numbers/names
from Ella's Roll book of 1933....Does the book list the Tribe Name along
with the names/roll numbers
or just refer to them as Calif Indians?
BIA said unless I have the NAME of the tribe along with
the number they cant help me. (They WON'T help me is what they mean). I'm so
tired of hitting my
head against a wall with BIA in Sacramento. Its a big guessing game and they
have the blindfold pulled way too
tight for me! They have not been one bit helpful. Whose paying their wages
anyway? Thought it was
govt funds drained from the public's pocketbooks. And who are these people
who happen to get a
job with BIA? They do not want anyone to get information out of them as far
as I have found in the
years since 1992 when I first wrote to them. Oh well, I dont give up easily.
Thanks much for checking if the TRIBE name is listed also. Waiting to hear.
