Deanna, I too get great satisfaction helping others, and/or sharing family
information. My husband and I have spent so many entire days searching
Tulare Co. especially Dinuba atrea records. We have no family records here
except grand children and gr grandchildren. Sometimes people are not aware
that the records they seek may be foung in Kings, Fresno or Kern counties.
For us that are familiar with the area, are aware of the closeness of the
area. I have found so many Tulare searches ending up in Hanford, Kings
Counties.
Thanks heaven I have some others that do the same for me in Monterey Co.
Recently there was a request for a monterey obit. No response, so I
contacted my Monterey "go fer" and the obit was faxed to me, which I
forwarded.

I guess you get addicted. Just finding the information is a thrill.
My son made us up some buisness type cards which read
GENEALOGY NUTS with a picture of a walnut on the side.

etc.

Maybe it's because I have filing cabinets full with other peoples
genealogy, just in case it will help someone else. You would be surprised
how many people that we have put in contact with other family searchers.
Helped one woman find her mother's family. Her mother had her unmarried.
Finally we located a brother in Oregon. They met, which was only six months
before the brother died. He remarked that she was identical to his mother.
Now she has family, her brothers wife/children, and an uncle.
Another is locating relatives that a man in Monterey hadn't seen or had
contact with in 50 years..

YES IT IS A WONDERFUL FEELING

Bettie
