Annual roll call:
Sorry to write in English, I read Dutch fine but my written Dutch is rusty
after leaving the Netherlands in 1959 at age 10. I live in Lanesboro,
Massachusetts, U.S.A.
My parents were Martinus Arnoud Langeveld, born in de Koog 1920, son of
Martinus Cornelis Langeveld and Jacoba de Wolf, and Maria Johanna Mantje
born 1916, daughter of Dirk Mantje and Cornelia Bas of Dijkmanshuizen near
Oosterend. I am interested in following back all lines of my ancestors and
have found most of them back many generations from various sources. At the
moment, I'm not stuck anywhere. I find this discussion list and Miriam's
Texel site very interesting.
In the long run it would be great to see all the information in the Dijt
books and other Texel genealogical books placed online in a standard
searchable hyperlinked format, including the information used to create the
many family trees and family histories in these books. There would be a
great deal of value in such a Texel database not only from a genealogical
but also a sociological point of view.
