This is in response to the Sept 24 questions about sources for birth
records for Essex Co.

I found FIVE generations of my Garrabrant line in the Stone House Plains
(Brookdale) Dutch Reformed Church Registers, 1801-1901, on LDS Film
#0946019, Item 5. Ordered it from Salt Lake City, viewed it a Family
History Center here in Montgomery Co., MD. It is an obvious
transcription from original records, with no indication by whom or when,
but I found my folks there.

Lots of births and baptisms, some marriages, few burials. I transcribed
the Garrabrant items, which came to 18 typed pages. Hope this helps
someone.
