The P.W. Quinn here named is said to be the same with Bernard Quinn
in the marriage certificate accompanying and to be consequently,
the father of Bernard John.
This name "Berghman" is said to be an erronious form of "Bergen".
Bergen was the maiden name of Mr. Bernard J. Quinn`s mother,
and the Sarah Shields mentioned in the marriage certificate was
Sarah Bergen who first married a man named Shields and, after his
death, Bernard Quinn, father of Bernard J. Quinn.
Thus stated Mr. Bernard J. Quinn to me, 11/11/1906.
