Hi, thanks for your message. So far yours has been the only one.
I am afraid even though our names match that the places don't. I have been
unable to take the plunge across the ocean to Scotland where my
grgrandparents originated. I have checked in the Scottish church records
for a marriage of John Nicholson and Christina McLean, but have not been
able to find one where the dates would jive.
I believe there were more siblings of my grandfather, but I am not sure of
the names. I also believe they must have died at a young age since the
census records of Prince Edward Island don't show them in 1881.
Must say I am very impressed with your knowledge of books that have
references to Nicholsons. I hope I can find something like that about my
Nicholsons some day.
Thanks again for writing and if I should make the jump to Scotland, maybe
we could still make some connection.
Greetings from Montana, Tedi
