Hello,

I have just discovered that this List exists, and I don't remember belonging to it before. So, I just joined it. I checked the archives and see it is a very inactive List, possibly because very few researchers know about it.

I'd like to mention that my KIDDER ancestor, Joseph KIDDER, was born in Chelmsford, MA, and his family was in the part of the town which annexed off to become Westford, MA, ~1730. It was about 1750's, when Joseph and his brothers, Reuben and Aaron, moved north to help found New Ipswich, NH.

I can only post a short message right now, and can post a lot more information tomorrow.

Just an FYI for the moment: There is a "KIDDER book" about the descendants of the patriarch, "Ensign James KIDDER" (1626-1676). And, there is a "KIDDER web site." And, I've been corresponding with George Kidder in FL for ~15 yrs. He has been trying to update the 1941 book for about 20 yrs. I will post the URL for you tomorrow.
