Here are a few of the families I am researching:

Besaw (Besaw, Besau, Beson, Besso, Bisson, Bison, Beeso)
    John Bisson, son of pioneers Philip Bisson and Ruth LeBreton of
Jersey, Channel Islands, later Carbonear, Conception Bay. Married a lady
named Mary Anne from Spainyard's Bay. Son Francis John Besson married
(1) Catherine Gosse (2) Catherine McKay and moved to Holyrood. Son
Edward "Eddie" Beseau b.1826 married Ellen Driscoll.

Bennett
    William Bennett born March 26, 1825, son of Charles Bennett and Mary
Lilley of Iwerne Courtney, Dorset, England. Moved first to Grand
Bank-Lamaline area, then to Grand Bay and Port aux Basque where he
married Jane Kettle on September 10, 1855. Their son John William Edward
Bennett was adopted by a Robert Bennett and wife Lavinia, and then
married Evangeline Chaulk in July 29, 1902. He was my great grandfather.

    Seeking info on Robert Bennett and Lavina (nee=?) Bennett, settlers
of Lake's Brook, south coast.

Hilliard
    Richard James Hilliard, born 1804, died March 20, 1892 in Benoit's
Cove, Bay of Islands. Married Anne O'Brien, born 1816, died August 15,
1887 in Benoit's Cove, Bay of Islands.  They were from St. John's and
moved to in Benoit's Cove around the 1870's or so. Son John William
Hilliard, born 1848 in St.John's, moved with brother Richard to Codroy
where he married Rose Ann Collier and died March 9, 1905. John's son,
James William Hilliard married Annie Smith.

Murphy
       Denis Murphy, born County Cork, Ireland married Hanna Kelly of
Plate Cove, Bonavista Bay on January 14, 1820. Son Denis Murphy
(1838-1918) married Rebecca Walsh, daughter of Peter Walsh and Eliza
Cross of Tickle Cove. Seeking descendants and relatives.
        Also looking for the Murphy family of Open Hall for possible
relation.

Gale
        John Gale born 1750 in Isle of Wight, died 1815 in Codroy. He
married Françoise "Fanny" Sereau of Hieuhavre, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.
They had six children. Son William Gale married Anne ? (died April 1850)
in Grand River, Codroy and had seven children. Son Edward Gale born
1820, died 1904, married Judith "Judy" Hall. Their son James Gale moved
to teh Highlands and wed Nancy Ann MacEachern, daughter of Dennis Daniel
MacEachern and Catherine Anne MacIssac. Their son Daniel Gale married
Eleanor Felix of Felix Cove and moved to West Bay. Seeking all
descendants and relatives.

LeJeune
    Jacques LeJeune, also know as "Jack the Fiddler", born 1775 in Petit
Bras D'or, Cape Breton. He was the son of  Christopher LeJeune (Mi'Kmaq)
and Louise-Marguerite Haché (Metis). He married Catherine Jessome in
Cape Breton, daughter of Jean Jesseauume  and Marie-Anne Fournier
(Metis). He relocated with his entire family, 11 children, to
Newfoundland.
    1)   Judith Marie LeJeune, born 1809, married Jean Benoit (Mi'Kmaq)
of Sandy Point, Newfoundland. Son Jean Benoit married Helene Benoit,
daughter of Luc Benoit and Helene LeBlanc. Their daughter Alice Benoit
married Henri LeJeune II.
    2) Henry LeJeune, born 1820, married Susan Dauffenais. Son Henri
LeJeune II married Alice Benoit, daughter of  Jean Benoit and Helene
Benoit.

Collier
    1) John Collier, born 1791 in Lamaline, died February 18, 1872 on
Codroy Island, and possible brother of  Samuel Collier of Burgeo,
married Catherine Dennis (Metis), born 1803 and died February 25, 1865,
daughter of Thomas Dennis (Metis) and Marie Guillaume (Mi'Kmaq) of
Codroy Island. Son John Thomas Collier married Elizabeth Miessau,
daughter of Joseph Mousseau (of Quebec) and Hannah Heulan.
Their son John Henry Collier married first wife Susannah
Kendell/Kendle/Kendall and had a family with her before her death, after
which he married twice more.
    2) John Collier, born 1788 in England, died 1850 in New Brunswick,
Canada. He married Elizabeth Card born 1783 in Hants County, Nova
Scotia. She was the daughter of Job Card and Frances Wilcox, Loyalist
settlers. Son Thomas Collier born 1817 married Elizabeth Nickerson,
daughter of William Nickerson (of mixed England and Indian descent,
mother was 1/2 Mohawk) and Rose Ann Crowell.
