Hi Taya,

Trinity is a town in Trinity Bay. It is on the Bonavista Peninsula which may be where your confusion comes from. Trinity is not in Bonavista Bay.

Cheers,
Sue

Hello, I'm new to the list and was wondering - the old town of Trinity that
goes far back in the records, is this town actually in Bonavista Bay not in
the larger Trintiy Bay? It's does seem somewhat confusing. I've been doing
most of my searching in Trinity Bay assuming it was the right area, but
after looking at a map, it just appeared to me that I was looking at the
wrong records, the families that are of interest were from the Bonavista Bay
area, town Trinity. If this is right, would anyone be able to tell me the
name of the bay or harbour that the town of Trinity was located in? Thank
you for your help, Kathy
