And my NEWPORT was Matthew. Born in Ireland, died in Salem Mass. I've seen
his headstone. He married Sara Safford of Danvers, Mass. Son, Joshua
Safford NEWPORT, my ggrandfather. Possibly a daughter, Eliza. (found a
reference to a baptism for an Eliza Newport born in Salem w/in 2 yrs of
Joshua and baptized in Danvers). I have some dates but they are not close
at hand. (I'm in the process of moving.)
