Seeking any information or links for searching please on Carl Jansen son of Dr Cornelius Jansen of Amsterdam, physician to members of the Dutch Royal Family. He joined the Dutch Navy and sailed on a training ship to the southern oceans on the same ship as his father (ship's doctor). Dr Jansen died at sea off Australia and when the ship docked at NZ Carl jumped ship and changed his name to Charles Johnson and married Beatrice Palmer in 1889 at Christchurch, NZ
