Are you familiar with www.genlias.nl ?? It also has an English
interface and is a treasure trove for people doing research till
1811, before that you will have to rely on on the local genealogy
email groups. For instance I suspect that one of the surnames Bolhous
= Bolhuis is quite known in de groningen genealogy groep (I might
even have some of them in my database, please take a look). Hook will
be Hoek but I think most important are to find the regional genealogy groeps.
