Howdy Doody -

I took a box of California golden Raisins and broke them all up and dropped them in a quart jar. I bought a bottle of Sir Robert Burnett's London Distilled Dry Gin, bottled in Bardstown Kentucky. 100% Grain Neutral Spirits, 40% alcohol by volume (80 proof).

I've had to top off the mixture with more Gin because the raisins are absorbing the liquid. 2 day's ago I was mixing it with a spoon to make sure the Gin was hitting every raisin, so I decided to taste them. I picked up about 10 of the fat ones and tried them out. I almost voided my bowels, created a gas fire, and ran to the bathroom. I really wasn't prepared for such a vile concoction. After I recovered I saw what I did. I used a spoon to get the raisins and along with the raisins, the spoon was almost full of raw Gin.

Sooooo - now I use a fork and roll the "Almost Grape" up the inside of the jar and then dump them into a paper bowl with a folded paper towel inside. The raw Gin goes out through the fork tines. I'm looking for a specific implement to use that will just let me dip them out. The reconstituted raisin looks like a small grape, but it may fill up more, don't know. It's super sweet with absolutely no taste of Gin (Just use the fork).

Over two day's I've eaten about 30 of the little critters. Today I did not have to use the Tylenol 3.
