Diana - Thank you! From this database it looks like Victor died in 1924 . . .This database information looks pretty good in the later years. I haven't gone down these sidelines much farther than grandchildren of my own ancestors. If I go too far I get lost and can never get back<vbg>
Thank you for checking this out.
My best - Linda

Linda,
It seems Victor may be a desc. of Henry and Mrs. Margaret Freymeyer, his second wife, of Berks and relocated to Wash Co.
see this tree:

It shows his parents are David S Neikirk and Catharine Monninger. David was son of John NEIKIRK and Barbara Summers, and John was son of Michael and Catharine Pence/Pense born in Berks Co., to Henry and Mrs. Marg. Freymeyer. Maybe that is why the reference to Washington Co being a good place as well as Berks for fertile soil and beauty? And Victor would be a grgrandson of Michael and Catharine Pense?
Victor born 1847 and buried in Washington CO MD- age 3 on 1850 Census. Seems his family stayed in MD and didn't go West?! In 1870CR David NEIKIRK and family were in Williamsport Post Office, Wash. Co MD
