Suzanne,

Thanks for the message! I am just heading out the door for about a
week. Please check my web site users.jerseycape.com/schubert/index1.htm
and consider joining the Neikirk listserver, which includes your Newkirk
family. Send to with only message body
of: SUBSCRIBE ...then you will start receiving all messages sent to
. We have about 20 members right now.

Your ancestor, Harry E. Newkirk (abt1863-aft1909) was son of Samuel
Newkirk and Mary Shaneman. Harry is my fourth cousin twice removed
through common ancestor Henry Neukirch (1708 Hahn, Burg, Germany - 1 Dec
1785 Exeter, Berks Co., PA). Henry was also recorded in some records as
"Johannes Heinrich Nikerck" and was a weaver. He arrived in America at
Philadelphia on 20 Sep 1738 aboard the "Nancy".

My data is from cousins I've found online and from a book by W.N. HURLEY
published last year by Heritage Books. They are on the web at
heritagebooks.com and you can search for "NEIKIRK".

I am forwarding this message to the Neikirk/Newkirk members also.
Best of luck in your searches.
