This is what I have from our family;
Ancestors of Jane (Jennie) BROWN - 20 Jan 2006

First Generation

1. Jane (Jennie) BROWN1,2 was born about 1878 in Nebraska. According to the 1930 census Jennie Brown's mother was born in Ohio and her father was born in New York. Jennie Brown married Richard Adelbert Odum (b 1876) before 1900.



Second Generation

2. James T BROWN was born in 1848 in New York. In 1880 he was an Attorney in Union Creek, Madison, Nebraska.3 He died. In 1880 James T. Brown (born 1848 in New York) is living with Ellen Brown (born in Ohio in 1852) and their daughter Jennie (born 1887). The birthdate of the Jennie and the birth place of all three is a match for Jennie Brown who married Richard Odum. Nancy Odum Holloran thought that her grandmother Jennie was an only child. Looking to determine if the twins that were born in 1879-1880 lived to be adults. James T BROWN and Ellen MILLER were married on 22 Dec 1875 in Cofax County, Nebraska.

3. Ellen MILLER was born in 1852 in Ohio. She died in 1910 in Schuyler, Colfax County, Nebraska. James T BROWN and Ellen MILLER had the following children:

1i.Jane (Jennie) BROWN.
ii.Freddie Rowland BROWN was born.
iii.Wesley BROWN was born about Oct 1879 in Nebraska. Wesley had a twin brother James.
iv.James BROWN was born about Oct 1879 in Nebraska.



Third Generation

4. John W BROWN4 was born about 1818 in New York. In 1860 he was an Attorney in Hector (Orange Post Office), Schuyler, New York. John W BROWN and Phoebe GREEN were married before 1844. They lived in Hector (Orange Post Office), Schuyler, New York in 1860.4 They lived in Grant, Colfax, Nebraska in 1880.5

5. Phoebe GREEN was born about 1827 in New York. John W BROWN and Phoebe GREEN had the following children:

i.Charles W. BROWN was born in 1844 in New York.
ii.Mary J BROWN was born in 1846 in New York.
2iii.James T BROWN.
iv.Joseph D BROWN was born in 1851 in New York.

6. Wilson MILLER was born. Wilson MILLER and Hannah HALL were married.

7. Hannah HALL was born. Wilson MILLER and Hannah HALL had the following children:

3i.Ellen MILLER.
