Hi Jon, Thank you for the wealth of info! That will help me a lot! I am going to look into the sites you mentioned. It is great to get some kind of idea how close or far away these places are to each other. Never having been to North Dakota myself - it is hard to decipher or imagine where the neighboring towns are. Current maps don't always show what one needs to know either. So thanks very much for the help. I also understand - that some places no longer exist, or the names of the towns changed - as parts of Minnesota became part of Dakota Territory...
