The info that i have comprised thusfar is that my family history reflects the kinship of Charlie Bynum and Julia Davis. Most of the focus is based on Almeta Bynum Morgan who is my great grandmother on my mother's side.
Julia Ann Davis birth location is still a mystery. It falls somewhere between Mississippi and Kansas City.???? As the story is told Julia's mother was born into slavery and her name was Sara. Sara worked on the plantation in the kitchen and was raped by the master. The master's surname was Davis. Sara was released shortly after the death of her master. Sara produced a daughter named Julia who is a mulatto. Julia's journey took her to Wilson, NC . Julia's death certificate states that she died at the age of 30 on July 10, 1918. She was born around 1888. Her death certificate lists her birthplace as Virginia. The informantion on the death certificate was listed as Mollie Wright of Wilson.
Prior to Julia's death she married Charlie Bynum. Charlie would later remarry numerous times after her death.
Born to Julia Davis and Charlie Bynum on September 28, 1893 was Almeta Bynum Morgan, Fred M. Davis, Anna Lee Lenox of Pitt County, NC born 8-1-1903 and died 1-22-1950. Mary Jane Lassiter was also their daughter. Arthur Mae Morgan died at 4 months.
Etta Mae Bynum was also Charlie's daughter after Julia died. Etta was born to Sarah Barnes and Charlie on March 21, 1908. Her married name was McLean of Rountree Avenue, Wilson, NC. She then moved to Pitt County prior to her death.
Almeta Bynum married Calvin Morgan. Almeta is my great grandmother. Their children were:
Sarah Jane Francy Morgan Born: July 2, 1920 (still living in CT)
