Myers, Nettie Mae

NORTH WILKESBORO - Nettie Mae Myers of North Wilkesboro passed away Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003. She was born Oct. 12, 1909. She was the oldest child of John A. Myers and Amanda Rhudy Myers. She was a homemaker and a teacher at Mt. Pisgah School and was the pianist at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Dockery for many years. She was a fine lady and much loved by her family. She was preceded in death by four brothers and sisters, Patsy Evans of New York, June Myers of Traphill, George Myers of South Carolina and Ella Bea Gambill of Traphill. She is survived locally by many relatives and cousins and nieces and nephews. Her nieces and nephews are John Evans, Rhoda Evans, Patsy Evans and Glenda Smillie of New Jersey, Tommy Myers, Judy Watson and George "Tubby" Myers of South Carolina, Johnny Myers, Robert Myers and Frank Myers of Hays, Tommy Felts of North Wilkesboro, Katherine Shermer of Advance, John Gambill of Wilkesboro, Bill Gambill of Hays, Rosemary Yates and Elizabeth Pilkington o!
f Millers Creek and Joseph Gambill and Thomas Gambill of Traphill. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, at Mt. Pisgah Church in Dockery, with the body being placed in the church at 1 p.m. The Rev. Ted Combs will officiate, and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The viewing will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today, Feb. 24, at Miller Funeral Service in North Wilkesboro.
