Isaac Davis [1804-1878] b. Monongalia Co., VA was s/o Able & Mary Davis. Able was b. in MD about 1765. Isaac m. Mary Phillips d/o Ephraim & Sarah Philllips in Ohio, c. 1828. They had 8 children including twin sons Hezakiah & Jeremiah, b. in 1846. Both twins were killed during the Civil War.
Other children were: Margaret, b./ 1829; James P., b. 1837; John S., b. c1837;' Mary Ann, b. 1840; William Henry, b. 1841 & George W. DAvis, b. 1844.
We believe Able Davis had brothers Barnabus & Benjamin who also settled in Indiana.
