The Forsyth County Genealogical Society will hold its regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at 6:30 PM in the Auditorium of the Forsyth County Public Library at 660 West 5th St, in Winston-Salem, NC. Speaker Jennie Hunt, Technical Services Librarian at Greensboro College, will speak about genealogical research tools in a talk entitled "Trust Me: I Used to Know How to Do This".



Jennie Hunt is a native of Williamson, West Virginia. She graduated with an AB in history from Guilford College in 1993, and an MLS from UNCG in 1995. She is an avid history buff and is especially interested in the local history of wherever she happens to be. She started her library career as archivist's assistant at the Friends' Historical Collection at Guilford College. She has also served as librarian for Old Salem and the Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts and as reference librarian at Greensboro College. Currently, Jennie is technical services librarian at Greensboro College and co-director of their women's and gender studies program. She and her husband, Brian, live in the Aycock Historic District of Greensboro with their three daughters, Molly, Ellie, and Grace.



Refreshments at 6:30 PM - meeting begins at 7:00 PM. The meeting is free and open to the public.
